YUJIE two-tone gold and silver hammered earrings

Two tones, one pair

YUJIE two-tone earrings for a gold ring and a silver watch

If you wear a gold ring on one hand and a steel watch on the other, a two-tone earring settles the argument. The gold and silver sit side by side in the same pair, so neither metal looks like the odd one out next to your face.

Look at where each tone falls. On the hammered teardrop the silver drop hangs below a gold top. On the intertwined hoop the two bands cross at the front of the lobe.

Weights come from our product data for each piece. A figure marked "per pair" on the product page is excluded from this table.

  1. Read the grams first

A hoop around 3 grams sits like a stud, even at an inch and a half across. Past 6 grams you feel the pull by lunch, so save the heavier drops for an evening.

  2. Match the back to your day

A lever back closes over the post and stays put through a coat going on and off. A push back is quick to change, and a hinged hoop snaps shut with no separate back to lose.

  3. Measure against your jaw

Every product page gives the length in inches and millimeters. Our studs stay under an inch, and the long heart drop runs just over three, so a ruler held at your lobe settles it in a second.

  4. Pick the tone next to your skin

Look at the ring or watch you wear every day. Two-tone pieces carry both metals, so they work when your other jewelry is mixed.

  5. Plan for no piercing

If your ears are not pierced, the clip-on shelf of the YUJIE catalog uses the same hammered and knot shapes on a hinged clip.

  6. Check the chain before the charm

Most of our chains with a listed length measure 17 to 18 inches, just below the collarbone. Look for the extender line on the product page if you wear crew necks.

YUJIE fish pendant necklace worn with a summer top

Fish, shells and starfish

YUJIE coastal necklaces, from sardine charms to shell beads

The little gold fish started as a summer charm and stayed on through the fall, worn over a knit as easily as over a swimsuit strap. You will find it plain, in pearl, strung on blue beads and doubled into two fish on one chain.

Choose the gold fish if you layer with other chains, and the beaded one if the necklace is the only piece you wear that day.

Gold hoop earrings

Pick the outline first: round with a knot, hexagon, triangle, star or heart, all cut from the same set. Then pick the thickness, from a thin link chain hoop to a chunky hoop in matte or hammered gold.

Bow earrings

Start with the color you will wear most: the enamel bow stud comes in a dozen shades, from navy to hot pink. Want it to move? The same bow hangs as a drop, and the pink and the black also come on a clip.

Two-tone jewelry

Wear gold and silver together without choosing between them. The teardrops, studs and hoops here each put both tones in one piece, and a bar lariat and an oval pendant do the same on a chain.

Coastal jewelry

The gold fish comes plain, doubled, in pearl or strung on blue and turquoise beads, and the same fish shows up again as huggies and fish bone drops. Choose one charm and wear it from the beach into the fall.

Heart necklace

Pick a heart on beads if you want the color, from amber and tiger eye to sky blue, or a gold heart on a ball chain if you plan to wear a second necklace with it. Both close at the back on a lobster clasp.

Christmas jewelry

A candy cane stud for the office, a light bulb drop for the party, a tiered tassel for Christmas Eve. Choose by the room you will be in, then by how much you want the pair to swing.

Finishes

What each finish is made of

Read the gold plating guide

  • 14K gold plated

A layer of 14 karat gold over a base metal, usually brass. The karat names the gold in the layer: 14 parts gold to 10 parts other metal.

    91 pieces

  • 18K gold plated

The same build with 18 karat gold in the layer, which reads a shade warmer and more yellow next to 14K.

    43 pieces

  • Gold and silver

Both tones in one piece. Choose these when you wear mixed metals, a gold band with a steel watch.

    16 pieces

  • Silver tone

A cool white finish on the same shapes as the gold pieces, from knot hoops to hammered teardrops.

    7 pieces

  • Enamel, resin and beads

Color on a gold-tone base: enamel bows, resin huggies, acrylic and stone bead chokers.

Plating wears with contact. Take pieces off before you swim, shower or work out, and store each one in its own pouch so the gold does not rub against a chain. The care guide

Questions

What you ask about YUJIE

Is YUJIE jewelry real gold for you to wear every day?

No. Our pieces are gold plated: a layer of 14 or 18 karat gold over a base metal, most often brass. The karat on the page names the gold in that layer. Plating wears with contact, so take your pieces off before you swim or shower and they keep their color longer.

Will YUJIE earrings feel heavy on your ears?

Check the weight on the product page before you buy. Most of our earrings with a listed weight sit between 3 and 6 grams. The heavier drops are the ones to save for an evening.

Can you wear YUJIE earrings if you have sensitive skin?

We do not label our pieces hypoallergenic or nickel-free. If you know you react to metal jewelry, read what dermatologists advise in our gold plating guide, and ask a doctor about any rash.

Does YUJIE make clip-on earrings for your unpierced ears?

Yes. The clip-on shelf repeats the hammered geometric, knot and twisted rope shapes and a few enamel bows on a hinged clip, so you get the same look without a piercing.

How do you keep your YUJIE plating from fading?

Put your jewelry on after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and take it off before you swim, shower or work out. Wipe it with a dry soft cloth and store each piece in its own pouch, so chains do not rub the plating.

Where can I buy YUJIE jewelry?

Every buy button on this site opens that exact YUJIE piece at our retail partner, where you check out. Payment, delivery and returns are handled there.
